just a few updates... :)
I have started my internship with NCHS as teaching assistant. I enjoyed myself there a lot so far until now. Love the opportunity given to interact with my students and sec5 students are more mature than i have expected. Although they always like to complain about XX to me whenever they see me around, i really appreciate that they share their thoughts with me.
attended NE Staff Retreat on last wed. In the initial plan, we were supposed to walk from Hort Park to Mount Faber and i was really looking forward to this cos' we got the chance to exercise!! haha but the weather that day didnt turned out to be any good so.. we stayed at Hort Park for the full hour. Nevertheless, the 8 of us can entertain ourselves and i enjoyed the trip/ excursion a lot.
thursday. reached school at 8am for remedial lessons that lasted 2hrs for each of the classes. first time saw my mentor scolded the class. teaching is not an easy job. By the 3rd hour, my mentor threw me a surprise by asking me to take over his class alone for a while. So.. i have to go through one of the exam questions with them. Thought he would continue from where i stopped after he's back but he asked me to continue. haha so? he watched me teach and went around helping students in doubts. felt kinda stressed then. tried the katsu curry mee at canteen today. quite nice and better than expected.
friday. reached school at 8am again. 1hr of remedial lessons for each class today. everything was fine. a student showed me her bf photo who turned out to be kim hyun joong aka ji hoo in BOF. she was surprised by me for recognizing hyung joong. another student told me i look like sin huei. erm.. do i? i was asked to help take over the classes on mon. shall prepare my materials then. the canteen stalls have finished selling all their food by 12.30pm. so we have no lunch. helped gloria to sort out her worksheets for the students. haha filing is so fun when you have 2 other frens to do together. feroz went to mosque and came back to look for us even he didnt need to. haha so the 4 of us, gloria, ardy, feroz and me did filing together. went to burger king at compass pt around 3plus to have our late lunch. sat there and chatted for hours and surprisingly, ardy didnt say he wanted to go home. bet he must be scared by us. yet he asked when will we having lunch together again. haha
saturday. went the cathay to buy tickets for monsters vs aliens. saw a lot of ppl outside the cathay to queue for the singapore idol audition. how many idols are we really going to have huh? shopped awhile at ps and bot rub-on stickers from Daiso and a luggage tag for my ezlink card. so happy! headed to chinatown to have bak kut teh with pq sl sammy and ch. though we didnt chat very long, it's gd we catch up with one another. everyone seems to do quite fine. shopped at central after lunch and babe finally bot a pressie for his cousin. went to litmus and bot a top from there for the very first time. woo! haha love it. monsters vs aliens is nice. very entertaining. highly recommended.
just finished drafting my progress report. i included mentioning activities i have done for the past 5 weeks. unsure if it is necessary. so everything turned out to be 5-page long. acceptable?
going to handle the sec5 classes tml. not nervous but excited cos' they like to give me surprises and ask me weird questions. should just respond naturally.
